OUR EFFECTIVE SURGICAL PROCEDURES
After weight loss* surgery, many patients have excess skin of the abdomen which interferes with their enjoyment of life. This may also be associated with abdominal wall hernias, or Diastasis (separation of the muscles in the midline). This skin can be removed at the same time as repairing any hernia or separation.
Plastic surgeons not only charge you more, but they ask bariatric surgeons to assist because they do not possess the knowledge needed to perform the complex hernia repairs at the same time.
Dr. Brackman has been performing Abdominoplasty for over 15 years.
Also known as Brachioplasty. Excess skin of the upper arms can be a major nuisance after significant weight loss.
Although surgery to remove this excess skin is not reimbursed by health insurers, we have financing options available.
Excess skin of the back is also common after significant weight loss. If not removed along with excess abdominal skin, an imbalance can be created which might make the result of Abdominoplasty appear subpar.
*Individual results may vary. Weight loss not guaranteed.
