Do i qualify for the gastric balloon?

Using the bmi calculator below, if your bmi is 30-40, you qualify.  There are some exceptions, call to find out.

Is the gastric balloon permanent?

The gastric balloon must come out after 6 months, but the program lasts a full year so weight loss is maintained.

Is this a surgery?

The gastric balloon is placed without surgery.  It is done under moderate sedation with an endoscope.

How much weight will I lose?

Individual results will vary.

Where is this procedure done?

We have offices in Springfield, New York City, and now Boston.

Can anyone insert the balloon?

There are very few specially certified surgical centers like us who are allowed to perform the procedure. Trust the experts and make sure it is not a Gastroenterologist not trained in surgical management of obesity.

Does insurance pay for this?

Currently the Gastric Balloon is not reimbursed by insurance, but there are financing options available that make it as affordable as any major weight loss program.

How much does it cost?

Please contact our office as this varies by location. One must consider the amount of money Americans waste each year on products and programs that don’t last. When you spend your money on the Gastric Balloon, you may achieve lasting weight loss and say goodbye to all the other programs.

What is the cause of obesity?

Obesity is a disease cause by multiple factors:

  • Diet
  • Lack of exercise
  • Genetic predisposition
  • And more

Am I alone in needing help?

No. More than 33 percent of U.S. adults suffer from obesity

What is the prognosis for someone with obesity?

Although people suffering from obesity can live shorter lives, and be susceptible to other diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart attack, treatment may resolve all these potential conditions.

Are there other treatments?

In addition to Gastric Balloon, there is diet/exercise (less successful) or bariatric surgery for obesity.

What if I am from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut or Rhode Island?

We are now offering internet consultations and post operative visits to save you travel. Of course you’ll have to come to springfield or NYC for the procedure, or now, our new Boston office.

*Individual results may vary. Weight loss not guaranteed.
